Vodacom Mozambique launched this Thursday (28), another credit service, called "Txova", which allows customers to complete transactions even when they do not have enough balance.
The announcement was made in the 60th edition of the International Fair of Maputo – FACIM 2025, which takes place since Monday (25), at the International Fairs and Exhibitions Center of Ricatla, located in the district of Marracuene, Maputo province.
According to Vodacom M-Pesa’s executive director, Zenaidine Gafar, this is another bet to guarantee convenience to users, because whenever money is missing for an operation, the system automatically covers the difference up to the pre-approved limit.
" The amount used, plus a daily fee, is discounted as soon as the customer receives money in the M-Pesa account. The service can be activated for values from 1 metical and does not need prior request", explained the responsible.
For the delegate administrator of M-Pesa, Sérgio Gomes, the service "Txova" comes as a solution for those situations where 20, 50 or 100 meticals are missing, whether to buy bread, gasoline or gas". They are small values, but they make all the difference in one night, on a weekend or on a specific day," he said.
To ensure the financial sustainability of the service, Vodacom has the partnership of the FNB bank, responsible for securing the support funds, as well as a technology company that will provide assistance and operational coverage.
